The Bank through Regional Integration Coordination Office (RDRI) support regional integration by investing in infrastructure, trade, financial integration. Under regional integration pillar, over the past decade, Regional Economic Communities (RECs) have pursued the financial integration agenda through implementation of various initiatives on macroeconomic stability, modernizing financial systems by implementing international financial standards, removing exchange controls and initiating exchange of information. Member countries with the support of the AfDB have also been working to integrate the payment systems and capital markets.
These efforts have yielded important gains, such as convergence criteria frameworks, regional surveillance mechanisms, cross-border payment platforms, regional capital market integration, and harmonization of regulatory norms.
To that end, RDRI is looking for a consultant to conduct a Study on Regional Financial Integration. In addition, the selected consultants should have knowledge and experience on regional financial integration.
