The assignment engages a Regional Corridor Specialist to accelerate AfDB’s AIF-2023 corridor agenda under “Integrate Africa.” The consultant will provide technical leadership and high-level stakeholder engagement to evaluate corridor performance, prioritize investments, and support implementation across RECs and member countries. Core workstreams include developing and applying corridor evaluation indicators and a prioritisation toolkit, curating and tracking a rolling pipeline of regional projects, and aligning financing (thematic pools, trust funds, co-financing). The role also supports the RCWG Secretariat to deliver ministerials, forums, and working groups; strengthens collaboration with multilateral/bilateral partners and corridor authorities; and advances trade facilitation, logistics integration, and sustainability principles. The Specialist reports to PICU.1, works virtually for six months, and produces analytics, policy advice, and knowledge products that reinforce AfDB’s position as a trusted partner on corridor development.
