Under the overall supervision of the Director of the African Development Institute (ECAD) and the Manager of the Knowledge Management and Information Services Division (ECAD.3), the main responsibility of the Consultant is to support the Division’s knowledge dissemination, capacity development, and event coordination activities. Specifically, the Consultant will contribute to the organization of high-level events such as the Kofi Annan Eminent Speakers’ Lecture Series (ESLS) and Global Community of Practice (G-CoP) Policy Seminars, as well as the annual meetings of the African Development Bank Group. The Consultant will also be responsible for drafting high-quality briefs, speeches for senior management, concept notes for high-level events, policy matrices, and summaries of event outcomes. This includes synthesizing actionable recommendations and key messages from seminars and workshops to support the Division’s strategic objectives. Additionally, the Consultant will work on building partnerships with external knowledge institutions and evaluating the effectiveness of knowledge-sharing initiatives.
