Under the leadership and guidance of the Climate Finance and Environment Division (PECG.1) Manager and the ACCF Coordinator, the Consultant’s core duties will include, but are not limited to, the following activities (further details are provided in the Terms of Reference):
- Supporting the implementation of projects in the portfolio, with a particular focus on tracking the implementation of the Gender Transformative Approach and Rights-Based Approaches adopted under the third and fourth Calls for Proposals (CfP) on Gender Equality and Climate Resilience, as well as Gender Transformative Methane Abatement.
- Additionally, providing support for and evaluating the Fund’s impact through the development and implementation of gender-transformative monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities, to report the results from the third and fourth CfP projects against the ACCF’s results management framework.
- Implementing innovative and impactful gender-transformative projects through CfP3 and CfP4, aligned with the Bank’s Gender Marker System (GMS), Africa’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), and empowering women and youth in climate-resilient activities.
- Contributing to the mainstreaming of gender equality targets within the Fund.
- Enhancing the visibility of the Bank’s work and progress in implementing the Gender Transformative Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation within the Fund.
