The services to be provided under the Assignment include:

Gender analysis: The operation should demonstrate a gender analysis of the relevant sector. The analysis should identify gender gaps, differences and disparities that may affect the feasibility and success of the program/project. The analysis should also identify opportunities within the program/project to reduce gender gaps and mainstream gender concerns. The analysis also includes measures that may be required in project design and implementation to ensure that the project also has no adverse gender impacts and that all project activities and outputs "do no harm" from a gender perspective.
Establishing the impact of the project on the promotion of gender equality and/or empowerment of women: This section provides details of how the project / project will impact on gender dimensions in terms of income/resources, quality of life, and distribution of the benefits.
Gender Marker System Categorization: What is the gender category of the project? Include the justification for the category as guided by the criteria and requirements of the AfDB Gender Marker System.
Gender in the results framework: The operation should ensure that the gender and women’s empowerment issues identified in the analysis are also integrated in the results framework. This includes gender results and disaggregated indicators at output and/or outcome level.
Provide a Gender action plan for projects under category 2 and 3
